Why businesses fail

Un court résumé de l'article de Mike Wyatt que vous pouvez lire sur son blog à l'adresse suivante :

"The reality is that you can ask 10 different people why businesses fail, and you’ll likely receive 10 different answers. While each answer could well be a contributing factor to the demise of a business venture, there is in my opinion one singular cause for all business failures…a lack of sound leadership. (...) In the 10 points listed below I’ll examine some of the more common reasons attributed to business failure, and I’ll likewise assess the roles and responsibilities of leadership as they pertain to the following reasons:

  1. Lack of Vision
  2. Lack of Execution
  3. Lack of Capital
  4. Lack of Management
  5. Lack of Sales
  6. No Market
  7. Poor Professional Advice
  8. The Inability to Attract and Retain Talent
  9. Competitive Awareness
  10. Obsolescence or Market Changes

Bottom line…businesses don’t fail – leaders do.  If it was an easy job everyone would be a CEO or entrepreneur."
